Sound Therapy & Community Sound Journeys
Restoring balance through sound, frequency and vibration

Sound therapy has the power to soothe the nervous system, shift emotional states, and create space for rest, release, and reconnection. Whether you’re seeking one-to-one support or looking to experience the benefits of sound in a shared space, this gentle practice offers a calming, accessible way to restore balance.
At my community sound journeys, I use grounding instruments such as metal singing bowls, crystal bowls, and soft percussive sounds. I also use carefully selected recorded sounds to build layered soundscapes. This allows me to create a fuller, more immersive environment—adding texture and depth that supports the live instruments and helps guide you into a deeper state of rest.
While gongs are a popular choice in many sound healing practices, I don’t use them in my sessions. Based on my own sensitivity and experience, I’ve found that the intensity and unpredictability of gong vibrations can sometimes feel overwhelming or unsettling. My aim is to create a soothing and safe environment where everyone can relax fully and feel supported throughout their journey.
In my one-to-one sessions, I use grounding instruments such as metal singing bowls, tuning forks, chimes, and carefully chosen percussion to support your relaxation and healing.
You can experience the benefits of sound therapy with me through therapeutic one-to-one sessions or by joining one of my calming community sound journeys, which are held at various locations.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
For community sound journeys, mats, blankets, cushions, and eye pillows are provided. You’re welcome to bring any personal items—like a favourite blanket or cushion. A notebook, some warm socks and a water bottle would also be helpful.
For one-to-one sound therapy sessions, please wear comfortable clothing. You don’t need to bring anything else unless you have a favourite blanket or cushion that may help you to relax.
One-to-one sound therapy sessions typically last between 60 and 90 minutes. Community sound journeys can vary depending on the event, but they usually run for around 60 to 120 minutes.
Wear comfortable, loose clothing and dress in layers so you can adjust your comfort during the session. Cosy socks are recommended, especially in cooler weather. This applies to both one-to-one appointments and community sound journeys.
For one-to-one appointments, you’ll usually be on my treatment couch which lowers for easy access and fully reclines, so you can lie down completely or choose a position that feels most comfortable for you. If you need to receive treatment from a chair or wheelchair, that’s absolutely fine — I’ll always work with whatever’s most comfortable for you.
For community sound journeys, most people lie down on mats, but I can provide reclining chairs if you’re not comfortable on the floor. You’re also very welcome to attend in a wheelchair — the space is flexible and inclusive, though please do check with me before booking, as not all venues are fully wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair users can bring along a friend or carer for FREE – just let me know when you book your ticket!
Yes. I carefully select instruments and sounds to create a gentle, grounding experience in both one-to-one sessions and community sound journeys. Every element is chosen to soothe, not startle — helping you feel safe, supported, and able to fully relax without becoming overwhelmed. If you have particular sensitivities, please let me know beforehand so I can tailor the session accordingly.
One-to-one sessions are a quiet, supportive space where you can fully relax — but please do let me know if you feel too warm, too cold, or uncomfortable in any way during your treatment.
Community sound journeys are also quiet spaces for rest and relaxation. While there’s space for gentle conversation before and after the session, I ask that you respect the calm atmosphere during the journey itself so that everyone can unwind and get the most out of their experience.
While sound therapy isn’t a medical treatment, it can offer valuable support alongside other
care. Many people with chronic pain or long-term conditions find it helps them feel calmer,
more grounded, and better able to manage daily challenges.
Absolutely. Many people come to sound therapy because they struggle to switch off — you’re not alone. There’s no pressure to feel or experience anything in a particular way. You can just lie back and let the sounds wash over you. It’s common for the benefits to build over a few sessions as you get used to the experience and your body and mind learn to fully relax.
I don’t use gongs or intense instruments, and my sessions are designed to be gentle and grounding for sensitive systems. As a neurodivergent person myself, I’ve designed these sessions so they soothe rather than overstimulate. If you have particular sensory needs or preferences, feel free to let me know before we begin — the space is yours to feel safe and comfortable.
Most people feel deeply relaxed and more at ease in their body. You may notice your breathing slow, your muscles soften, or a gentle release of tension. It’s common to drift in and out of a light, daydream-like state — and some people even fall asleep, which is absolutely fine. Each session is different, and there’s no right or wrong way to experience it.
Yes. Many people with fatigue- and energy-related conditions, such as chronic fatigue or fibromyalgia, find sound therapy deeply restorative. The deep rest it encourages can help make day-to-day symptoms easier to manage.
